Kathleen Scanlan , M.D.
Radiologist of Salem Radiology, Salem Oregon

Doctor Scanlan was born and raised in McMinnville, Oregon. She graduated from Oregon State University and OHSU, followed by a rotating surgical internship year on "the hill". Feeling the need to see the world, she moved to Washington D.C., completing a year of Anatomic Pathology at Washington Hospital Center. Then it was on to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, for a Diagnostic Radiology Residency. She stayed on there for several years and got caught up in the academic world, developing interests in teaching, ultrasound and breast imaging while losing her interest in academic politics. In the year 2000, she returned home and joined Salem Radiology Consultants. Her major interest is Women's Imaging, particularly breast imaging and breast cancer screening.

Kathy has two active grade school boys, Brady and Nick, and two grown stepchildren, Madelaine and Case.

She enjoys travel, having visited much of Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Russia. Cooking projects, music and hot air ballooning are also highly rated.
