Dr. George was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and then entered medical school at the University of Iowa in 1993. After medical school, he stayed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for residency in diagnostic radiology and for a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology. He is joining Salem Radiology Consultants in July of 2003.

He enjoys running, biking, kayaking, and golfing. Upon the move to Salem, he will acquire the hobby of home-renovation. He will be getting married to Teresa Welsh in October of 2003. Teresa will be joining Dermatology Clinic, P.C. in Salem as a physician assistant.
